This ambient space creates a psychoacoustic equal loudness curve that is also referred to as grey noise. The acoustics of the space allows sounds that fall within a close proximity of frequency to reverberate a bit louder than the final decay of the sound, creating the illusion of equal loudness of all sounds in the room. Occasionally you can hear the sharp peaking sounds whose indexes allude to silverware, closing doors, and placement of objects.
